Terms of service
Last updated: September 2026
These terms apply when you use this website, or when you engage Rapid Scale Studio (“I”, “me”), a one-person studio based in Perth & Kinross, Scotland, for a website or automation project. By using this site or hiring me for work, you’re agreeing to these terms.
Quotes and scope
Quotes are based on the information you give me on a call or through the quote form. If the scope changes significantly once work starts (extra pages, extra features, a bigger job than described), I’ll tell you before doing the extra work and agree a revised price with you first. No surprise invoices.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit and the schedule for the remaining balance, are agreed and confirmed in writing for each project before work begins. Automation plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time: see the plan details on the AI automation page.
Ownership of your website
Once a website project is paid in full, you own the finished site: the design, content and code built specifically for you. Until final payment is made, I keep the rights to the work. Any third-party tools, templates or licensed assets used remain governed by their own licences.
Revisions
Website packages include a set number of revision rounds, as described on the pricing page for the plan you choose. Additional rounds beyond that can be arranged at an agreed extra cost.
Cancellation
One-off website projects can be cancelled by either side before completion; you’ll be invoiced for work already completed up to that point. Monthly automation plans can be cancelled by you at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. There’s no long-term commitment.
No guarantees on results
I build things properly and stand behind the quality of the work, but I can’t guarantee specific business outcomes (like a set number of enquiries, sales or leads), since those depend on many things outside my control.
Third-party services
Websites and automations I build often rely on third-party services (hosting, databases, messaging providers, booking tools and similar). I choose these carefully, but I’m not responsible for outages, price changes or policy changes made by those third parties.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, I’m not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of a site or system I’ve built. Nothing in these terms limits liability for things that can’t legally be limited, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any disputes will be handled in the Scottish courts.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The version in place when you engage me for a project is the one that applies to that project.
